Faint - a self portrait

Spent an afternoon noodling around with lighting yesterday. No models or subjects around, save myself.

One Photogenic PL-06 with a 16″ reflector above the camera and a 30″ square silver reflector below the camera and parallel to the floor. Upper barn door adjusted to provide gradient on background.

Studio Portrait: The Brothers

Some photographers blanch at the idea of making portraits of children and yes, sometimes you get subjects that simply arrive underfed, under-rested and completely out-of-sorts. But it’s all worth it when the opportunity to make images like these presents itself.
